Afarensis Mini-RPG

It’s 3 million years ago, and pre-human creatures have emerged from the evolutionary swamps of East Africa. The place is warm, wet, and teeming with life, but it’s also challenging — the climate shifts, deadly predators prowl, and rival hominids compete for resources and dominance. 

In this easy-to-play tabletop role-playing game, you are transported to a land before time, and a time before homo sapiens. It’s the world of Australopithicus Afarensis, one of our most courageous but ill-fated ancestors. 

In Afarensis, you’ll leave the 21st century, and your modern language skills, behind and play as a leading member of a tribe of Australopithicus. Your goal is to survive and thrive in a limited territory filled with threats and opportunities. The demands of hunting and gathering for survival are tough enough, but throw in saber-toothed tigers, herds of mammoths, and invading pre-human tribes, and it’s a handful.
